Reed Mangels, PhD, RD, FADA
Reed Mangels, PhD, RD is a nutrition adviser for the national, non-profit Vegetarian Resource Group and the nutrition editor and columnist for Vegetarian Journal. She is the co-author of Simply Vegan (with Debra Wasserman), The Dietitian’s Guide to Vegetarian Diets (with Ginny Messina), and the Everything Vegan Pregnancy Book. She speaks and writes about vegan nutrition. Reed received her BS in Foods and Nutrition from Florida State University, her MS in Nutrition from Case Western Reserve University, and her PhD in Nutrition from the University of Maryland College Park.
Ginny Messina, MPH, RD
Ginny Messina, MPH, RD is the author of several books on vegan and vegetarian nutrition including Vegan for Life, co-authored with Jack Norris, and The Dietitian’s Guide to Vegetarian Diets, co-authored with Reed Mangels. She speaks and writes on vegan nutrition for both the public and health professionals, and serves as a consultant and advisor to a number of vegan and animal rights organizations. Ginny earned her degree in nutrition and dietetics from Rutgers University and her MPH from the University of Michigan.
Jack Norris, RD
Jack Norris is a Registered Dietitian and the Executive Director of Vegan Outreach. In 2005, Jack was elected to the Animal Rights Hall of Fame. Jack co-authored the book, Vegan For Life, with Ginny Messina, MPH, RD. Jack earned a degree in nutrition and dietetics from Life University (Marietta, GA) in 2000 and performed his dietetic internship at Georgia State University in 2001.
