New Article: Elevated Vitamin B12 Levels and Mortality

A report from the Prevention of Renal and Vascular End-stage Disease (PREVEND) study released at the beginning of the year raised questions about whether too much B12 could result in a risk for early death. We just completed a comprehensive review of the scientific literature. The summary is, there’s nothing to be concerned about with respect to routine B12 recommendations (with the possible exception of people with kidney impairment, but this has always been known to be the case).
