Evidence-Based Nutrient Recommendations

VeganHealth News!

Hello–

You’re receiving this email because you signed up for blog posts from JackNorrisRD.com.

I haven’t made a post since last September, and there’s been a good reason—I’ve been busy revamping VeganHealth.org. The new site is now live and—I hope—considerably more user-friendly.

Since 2009, I’ve been using the JackNorrisRD blog to post any updates made to VeganHealth. We now have a team of people keeping VeganHealth updated—Reed Mangels and Ginny Messina, two very accomplished vegan dietitians, will be joining me!

Because it’s now a team effort, I’ve moved the JackNorrisRD email list to VeganHealth—and you’re subscribed. It’s possible that I’ll occasionally send a more personal post from JackNorrisRD, but for the most part, that mailing list will now be this one from VeganHealth.

Check out the new site!

  • If you have a question about whether it's okay to cut supplements in half or combine supplements to achieve the dose we recommend, the answer is “Yes.” Be aware that nutrient recommendations are only estimates—it's not necessary to consume the exact amount we recommend every single day.
  • We aren't able to respond to questions about which brands of supplements to take.
  • We cannot provide personal nutrition advice for specific health conditions. If you need private counseling, here's a list of plant-based dietitians and we especially recommend VeganHealth contributor Taylor Wolfram, MS, RDN, LDN.
  • We urge you to consult with a qualified health professional for answers to your personal questions.
